The Ark Nursery is open to every family in the community. We operate a waiting list that accepts children in order of registration and date of birth. We also operate a siblings’ policy. The children attend the nursery from the term after their second birthday to 5 years of age.
We would be delighted to show you our nursery, to allow you to meet the children and staff and gauge for yourselves the uniquely happy and productive atmosphere that the nursery provides.
If you would like further information on our nursery, we would love prospective parents to telephone us in person to obtain a prospectus and make a mutually convenient appointment to visit.
To contact us please call us on 020 8741 4751 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Children can be registered from birth. A registration fee of £50.00 is charged, which is not refundable. Places will be offered the January before your child is due to start.
If you are on a waiting list, limited places do become available throughout the year. If we do not receive a response to a waiting list offer within 72 hours it will be offered to the next family on the list.
In common with most other schools we charge a deposit when you accept a place for your child. The deposit currently is £500. This is payable when we confirm the place. The deposit, which is strictly, non-refundable, is deducted from the fees for your child’s last term at the nursery in accordance with the nursery terms and conditions.
We accept childcare voucher payments and we qualify for EEF.
All term fees are payable in advance.
We want the transition from home to nursery school to be a happy time for your child.
The settling in process begins with the home visit. This involves two members of the nursery team visiting you at home and provides an opportunity for children to get to know the staff in a familiar environment. The visit also provides parents and carers with an opportunity to discuss their child's needs and to raise any questions they may have. The home visit enables nursery staff to make provision for the individual needs of incoming children.
To further ease the transition from home to nursery you will be invited to attend a taster session with your child so that they can savour a little of the atmosphere that they will experience on their first day at nursery.
In the Summer Term we hold a New Parents evening, this is an opportunity for the staff to explain the Early Years Foundation Stage, the routine, curriculum, activities and generally answer any questions parents may have; it is a wonderful opportunity for new parents to meet each other, have a drink and get to know staff before their children start.
Parental contact and involvement
We aim to develop close relationships with parents to support and enhance the development of the child.
Parent/Teacher meetings are held twice a year to discuss individual children with the key person and to build upon our partnership with parents/carers. Parents can request a meeting at other times if they would like to discuss anything.
Throughout the year we invite mothers, fathers, grandparents to special breakfasts/teas and events to enjoy time in nursery with their children/grandchildren.
We have an open door policy and encourage parents to share their skills and feel part of nursery life. You know your child best and we value your expertise.
